The Old Pound Inn is a traditional village pub with a reputation for good honest food, drinks and rooms, and our friendly service. We have a regular quiz, bingo and live-music nights – like our page to stay up to date with our events and special offers.
Formerly known as the White Lion Public House, this 16th -century pub was re-christened the Old Pound Inn in 1980, named after the old village animal pound that occupied the site before it became a pub. The Old Pound Inn has a good selection of West Country beers that are pulled from the sprung stillage in our cellar. We have an open Dutch fire at the centre of the bar, a lounge area and snug, as well as a 44-seat restaurant serving good honest food daily. We are of course a dog-friendly place – ask your server if they have any dog snacks available!
