We are a traditional, friendly village Inn, in Aller Langport, with a good reputation for fine food, real ales and genuine hospitality.
Formerly known as the White Lion Public House, we were re-named The Old Pound Inn in 1980, as the Inn stands on the ground of the old village animal pound.
A varying selection of West Country beers are pulled from the sprung stillage in the cellar of this large 16th-century village pub.
An open Dutch fire is a feature in the centre of the bar.
There is a restaurant, lounge, skittle alley, 7 bedrooms and a snug.
Excellent food is served in the bar, snug or restaurant, including a weekly Sunday carvery.
Dogs are welcome in the bar at this traditional village inn, please keep them on a lead.
Monthly quiz nights and band night are also held here.
Our bar, with open Dutch wood burning fire, pool table, dart board and juke box, is open from 11.30am to 11pm Monday to Saturday and 12 noon to 10.30pm on Sunday. Board games and books are available for all to use.
Our 7 ensuite bedrooms offer all the facilities that you would require during your stay and your rate includes a complimentary breakfast.
Our function room is available for hire and can include a DJ, food, fully stocked bar and most other requests can be accommodated.
